Last Rites Tattoo Theatre Finds It’s Final Resting Place, Plus The Addition Of Two New Artists
New York, New York – Tattoo icon, Paul Booth has moved The Last Rites Tattoo Theatre – After 8 years of spreading darkness on East 4th Street in NYC’s East Village, The LAST RITES TATTOO THEATRE has relocated from it’s street-level storefront to a spacious new studio in Upper Chelsea. In addition to a tattoo studio, the new space will also house a fine art gallery in conjunction with the German-based STRYCHNIN GALLERY; showcasing artworks from around the globe.
“Words can’t describe how excited we all are about the new Crypt! All this new space is making everyone feel very creative, we’ve moved from 700 square feet to 4500 square feet, a major change for the better. The interior design and décor is new and improved; we’ve even added a home theatre to play Horror films all day long…You’ve really got to see this place!” –Paul Booth
The new address is:
LAST RITES
511 West 33rd Street, Suite 3N
New York, NY 10001
(Located on the 3rd floor, between 10th & 11th Street, just 3 blocks from Penn Station)
LAST RITES Welcomes two new Artists to The Ritean Clan:
JEREMIAH BARBA – Tattoo art is in Jeremiah's blood. Before opening his own studio, Epidemic Tattoo, he worked out of Outer Limits owned by his mother; the legendary Kari Barba, who of course played the biggest influence in his life as an artist. Jeremiah’s diverse styles range from traditional to the sinister black & grey style Last Rites is best known for.
ETHAN MORGAN - Ethan has been working in the tattoo medium since 1991. Since then, he has won over 30 awards and has received both national and international attention for his work and contributions to the tattoo industry. Recognized mostly for his black and grey style, Ethan also enjoys working in colors and has a large clientele for his vibrantly colourful pieces. He is also a fine artist and host of the annual Long Beach Tattoo Convention. On coming to Last Rites, Ethan had this to say:
"I felt like my execution and techniques were stagnant, the environment I was in was more detrimental than inspiring and I knew it was definitely time for a change. I found out about the opening at LAST RITES purely by chance and jumped at the chance to be part of Paul Booth's team. I am looking forward to being surrounded by the best in the business, the resident artists and the phenomenal guest artists that pass through. I know that I will get out of this what I put into it. I know it will be an amazing experience, and I’m a lucky man to be here.”
LAST RITES Welcomes two new Crew to The Ritean Clan:
JOE FERRANTE – Joe, a long-time friend and client of Paul’s has secured the role of manager at Last Rites. Joe will be working closely by Paul’s side; making sure the business side of Last Rites is a smooth running operation.
DENNIS LACALANDRA – Dennis, also a long-time fan and close friend of Last Rites will be working as an assistant/intern; helping to make things easier for the artists and crew, while learning the business side of Last Rites.
