WEBZEN AMERICA ANNOUNCES KEY APPOINTMENTS ACROSS MULTIPLE DIVISIONS

LOS ANGELES – Aug. 29, 2006 – WEBZEN America, Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary of Korea-based online entertainment leader WEBZEN Inc. (NASDAQ: WZEN), announced today that it has appointed four key personnel to augment its growing team. Michael Morrison will serve as the company’s senior director of information technology, Tim Hesse as the senior producer of the highly anticipated massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) Huxley and Tim Holman as the senior producer of epic fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Soul of the Ultimate Nation and the urban action MMO game All Points Bulletin (APB). Serene Chan joins WEBZEN America as senior brand manager of Soul of the Ultimate Nation.

Serving as the new Senior Director of Information Technology, Michael Morrison will oversee, manage and coordinate the future development, operation and maintenance of WEBZEN America’s information systems. Morrison has more than 15 years’ experience in IT management, including more than five years with Vivendi Universal Games, where he served as the senior director of IT infrastructure and lead the online systems team, among others. In his new role, Morrison will also lead the external online and server operations of WEBZEN America’s massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs), including Soul of the Ultimate Nation, Huxley and All Points Bulletin.

Tim Hesse brings to WEBZEN America more than a decade of production experience, including many top selling first-person shooting games. As Senior Producer he will work directly with WEBZEN Inc.’s in-house developers in the design and development of the highly anticipated MMO first-person shooter Huxley, which utilizes the Unreal 3 Engine. Hesse joins WEBZEN America from Activision where he worked on Tony Hawk’s Project 8. Previously a producer for Atari/Infogrames and GT Interactive, Hesse, worked alongside Epic Games to successfully ship numerous titles based on the Unreal Franchise to the North American and European markets across various platforms.

As Senior Producer, Tim Holman will manage the localization and culturalization of the epic fantasy Soul of the Ultimate Nation through development, launch and ongoing service. He will also work closely with developer Real Time Worlds, Ltd. on APB to bring the urban action MMOG to North America. A seasoned producer for such companies as Turbine, Inc., Holman has years of success in creating MMOGs and running their live services. Most recently a producer for the Bad Kitty Studio at WMS Gaming, Holman successfully managed more than 20 games, including the upcoming first ever multiplayer gaming device.

Serene Chan serves as the senior brand manager for WEBZEN America, with an initial focus on bringing Soul of the Ultimate Nation to North American gamers. Having shipped nearly 30 videogame titles across several platforms, Chan brings nearly a decade of brand management experience in the videogames industry. Before joining WEBZEN, she served as the senior product manager of Midway Home Entertainment, where she created and implemented marketing plans for such well-known titles as Area 51 and L.A. Rush. She also managed several well-known games and franchises at other leading videogame developers including Atari and Activision.
