JANUARY 24 RELEASES
HOUSTON, November 15, 2005 —ADV Films, the number one
producer-distributor of anime in North America, is pleased to
announce three exciting new titles set to hit the streets on January
24, including new volumes of Princess Tutu and E’s Otherwise and the
colossal new Neo Ranga Complete Collection.
PRINCESS TUTU: ERWACHEN

ADV Films is proud to present the next volume in the most beloved
anime series of the year. Princess Tutu: Erwachen, the third volume
in the critically-acclaimed six disk series, is slated to hit stores
January 24. “The series is bound to grab attention in the New Year.
With entertaining characters, impressive production, and an
unpredictable, secret-laden plot, Princess Tutu is a title to watch

Directed by Junichi Sato (Sailor Moon, Kaleido Star) and Shougo
Kawamoto (You’re Under Arrest! Season 2) and produced by HAL Film
Maker (Kaleido Star) and TBS (Chobits), Princess Tutu is a classic
fairy tale story with a twist of mystery, magic and romance.
Darkness hid the pieces of her beloved’s shattered heart, and time
is running out for Princess Tutu to find them. Her dream of becoming
a human girl has come true. However, peril lurks in the unseen
shadows. Using the power of an enchanted amulet, she must unravel a
dark and twisted mystery to keep her Prince and herself alive.
Synopsis: Jolted awake from her fairy tale daydream, Duck must call
upon all her resources as Princess Tutu to prevent the crafty
Princess Kraehe from stealing away the prince. Struck with the
weight of his impending fate, Fakir hardens his heart and resolves
to pursue his own path. But a cunning trick by the crow princess may
force his hand… and Tutu’s.
Princess Tutu: Erwachen (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release
including episodes ten through thirteen, presented in both English
and Japanese with English subtitles. This volume is packed with
extras, including the original Japanese promotional video, a
commentary track with voice actors Jessica Boone (Rue) and Jay
Hickman (Mytho), a “Ballet for Beginners” segment, a guide to the
classical music played in this volume, and an “In the Studio”
segment following the English cast as they lay down their vocal
tracks, plus clean opening animation, clean closing animation, and
previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.
E’S OTHERWISE: THE SACRAMENT OF CALVARIA

future of human evolution and its possible consequences, E’S
Otherwise is based on the hit comic series that original appeared in
G Fantasy Monthly. The spectacular, state of the art animation was
directed by Masami Shimoda (Macross 7, Saber Marionette J) and
produced by Studio Pierrot (Saiyuki, Naruto).
Synopsis: With the Raphael and the rest of the children set free
from the sinister clutches of Giberini and his church, better known
as “paradise”, Kai embarks on the next phase of this mission. He is
off to find the secret of the Sacrament of Calvaria. However he is
not alone in his quest. Yuuki, Maria, and Asuka are also in on the
hunt. And following them are Sherry and Kyou, along with Maxim. Oh
yeah, and let’s not forget the guerillas.
Meanwhile, Shen-lon is starting really freak about what has happened
to his sister, Shin-lu, and her “strengthening procedure”. He is
frantically trying to find answers and seems to be getting help from
a most unusual accomplice. Back at Ashurum, Eiji is realizing that
he might have his hands a bit too full. Things are starting to come
to a head, and with this many psychics involved it can only mean one
thing: things are gonna get worse before they can get better. You
