Fantasy Wars Contest Extended Through February

Map editor released to the public for free

MOSCOW, Russia - January 30, 2008 - Leading Eastern and Central European publisher 1C Company today announced that due to popular demand and far more entries than expected the Fantasy Wars contest has been extended until February 22. Players can win a custom painted Cosmos 1000 case with original artwork. Fantasy Wars is being distributed by Atari, Inc. in the US and is available from all major retailers and at the new 1C online store at http://www.1cpublishing.eu/buy-download.

1C and 1C:Ino-Co have even more exciting news for all Fantasy Wars fans - a new map editor allowing gamers to create stunning new battlefields. This editor is an absolutely free download and is available at http://www.1cpublishing.eu/game/fantasy-wars/downloads or http://fantasywars.1cpublishing.eu/index.php?page=editor.

To enter the contest simply beat "The King and the General" level in the fewest moves. 2nd and 3rd place receive prizes as well. Once you have completed the level create an e-mail with the topic "Tournament" and attach the "Profiles" folder. In the email please list your name, age and email address. Send the email to tournament@ino-co.com.

Player's skill will be determined by looking at the following criteria:

1. Difficulty level.

2. The amount of turns made.

3. The execution of additional quests.

4. Towns and fortresses captured.

5. Your army's losses.

6. Your enemies' losses.

7. Money balance.

Fantasy Wars is a turn-based strategy game set in a fantasy world. Combining both classic turn-based strategy gameplay and modern 3D graphics, players can experience epic battles like never before. Taking place in a fantasy world of Human kingdoms, Orc clans, Dwarfs' citadels and Elven forests the player is thrust into a world of war and legend.

Players can participate in castle sieges and village defense, assault and reconnaissance operations and swift raids. The game consists of three story-connected campaigns. In each of them players will have to gather an army, upgrade units, find magic artifacts and learn new spells. With more than More than 70 units and 9 types of armies the original epic story line will engross players. The advanced army upgrade system will also carry over into the multiplayer modes allowing friends to combat each other with the full force of their armies'.
