The beloved fighting franchise will make it’s debut on the PSP® system when it ships to store shelves on Tuesday, July 25, 2006

SANTA CLARA, Calif., (July 13, 2006) – Leading video games publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. announced today that TEKKEN®: Dark Resurrection for the PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) system has gone gold and will explode onto store shelves nationwide on Tuesday, July 25, 2006. The latest installment in the highly-popular TEKKEN® series introduces two brand new characters, Lili and Dragunov, whose unique fighting styles add a new element of action to the tournament as they battle the exciting cast of classic TEKKEN characters, including the highly anticipated return of Armor King and fan-favorites Jin, Heihachi and Yoshimitsu.

TEKKEN: Dark Resurrection will pack a punch when it hits later this month, boasting gorgeous graphics, double the customizable items seen in TEKKEN®5, fun mini games including TEKKEN Bowling and Gold Rush, and an exciting new game sharing feature where fans can play their friends using just one game. Rounding out TEKKEN: Dark Resurrection’s list of impressive features is its new “Ghost” mode which allows players to upload their “ghost” character data as well as download others’ “ghost” data to their PSP system. When players have reached the height of their TEKKEN fighting skills, they will be able to see how they rank against others through the game’s network system.

“We wanted to offer something original with this new incarnation of the popular franchise with action packed portable play and new online play and game sharing modes,” Yoshi Niki, Business Unit Director at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “TEKKEN: Dark Resurrection takes full advantage of the amazing wireless connectivity of the PSP system, and allows gamers to experience the fighting excitement anytime and anywhere they choose.”
