– July 17, 2006 – Megaforce Records announces the
forthcoming Mushroomhead album Savior Sorrow to be
released on September 19, 2006. The visionary masked
band combines theatrics with a mixture of rock, metal
and atmospheric elements. The band will begin a world
tour in September.
The first single will hit commercial alternative, rock
and active rock radio formats in early August, 2006.
This is Mushroomhead’s debut release for the seminal
rock label, Megaforce Records.
Savior Sorrow is a diverse effort featuring epic rock,
vicious hardcore, and ethereal elements. It also marks
the first studio appearance of co-singer Waylon, who
replaced the departed J-Mann. “Waylon brings a new
dimension to the band. Not only a great frontman, but he
can also scream and sing like a chameleon, changing
vocal quality to adapt to the true nature of each song.
His versatility is remarkable,” comments drummer and
producer Skinny.
Mushroomhead's accomplishments in the music world are as
stellar and intense as their performances. Praised for
being original, Mushroomhead are innovators in the rock
and metal worlds. And now, Savior Sorrow, will continue
Mushroomhead’s evolution as one of the most original
bands working today.
After forming in Cleveland in the mid-90's, Mushroomhead
became one of the most sought-after live bands garnering
respect from peers for their uncompromising sound and
stunning theatre-driven shows. Savior Sorrow was
recorded and mixed at Filthy Hands Studio in Cleveland
with additional mixing at Mars Studio, also in
Cleveland. Mushroomhead have sold more than 1,000,000
