Press Release
RIGHT STUF INTERNATIONAL LAUNCHES EPISODE 19 OF ANIME TODAY, THE FIRST EVER COMMERCIAL PODCAST SHW DEDICATED TO ANIME AND MANGA!

Grimes, IA July 21, 2006 – The Right Stuf International (“TRSI”), anime producer and mega-online anime retailer, announced today it has launched the latest episode of Anime Today, the first ever commercial podcast aimed at Japanese animation (“anime”) and manga enthusiasts.

Anime Today is rated one of the top 100 podcasts of all TV & Movie podcasts subscriptions on Apple’s iTunes – competing against major podcasts by corporate moguls such as Cartoon Network, Fox, and HBO. Anime Today fans have been raving about the show since its initial debut last November. “Reviews, News and Japanese culture that is engaging and is produced well. How did you guys know exactly what I wanted in an anime podcast?!” posted one reviewer on iTunes.

Released every other week, each episode features fresh anime content and gives listeners a glimpse into what's new and what's hot in the world of anime and manga! Segments include reviews of titles from all major anime studios, insights into the industry from anime producers, tips on traveling to and around Japan, interaction with listeners, contest and prizes and more!

In episode 19 of Anime Today:

Chad has the latest news on what’s hot in the world of anime.

Think you know anime and manga? Test your skills in “Uso Deshou” Trivia!

In this episode’s edition of “The Anime and Gamer’s Guide to Japan”, Kris and Judy talk about how to avoid embarrassing Japanese social etiquette no-nos when eating in Japanese restaurants!

Shawne talks about our new “Sweet Summer Savings” sale and highlights his favorites from his Weekly Specials.

Judy-sensei follows up the social etiquette discussion by teaching you basic dinner terminology in her “Mini Japanese 101 Lesson”!

Marie pops in with her energetic review of ADV Film’s Super GALS! DVD series.

Sit in on a session of Q&A with Kris and Judy as they tackle a listener’s question about the level of control a manga-ka (manga artist) has when their series is turned into an anime and explain how multiple animation teams sometimes work on the same anime series.

It’s been a busy summer with Right Stuf’s many contests and Nick and Rich return with the latest run down.

Kris and Judy wrap up the episode discussing their upcoming trip to the largest anime convention on the east coast – Otakon!

You can find this episode, as well as an archive of all Anime Today episodes and extended show notes, at http://www.RightStuf.com

Coming next episode: Our podcast team will be roaming around the biggest anime convention on the east coast – Otakon! We’ll have a special Anime Today panel (10-11AM Saturday 8/5/06 in Theater Room 1) and be talking to anime fans and industry aficionados about the convention. So if you’re attending, make sure to pop in and see us and maybe get yourself a special Anime Today t-shirt! Not only will you get a chance to be on Anime Today, but you could also score some great swag!
