ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT PREMIERES THE VAMPIRE THRILLER THE THIRST ON DVD

Quench Your Desires Starting May 15th

BURBANK, CA – Anchor Bay Entertainment pumps new blood into the vampire genre with the May 15th DVD release of The Thirst, a harrowing examination of two recovering drug addicts facing a new “liquid” addiction. The Thirst is directed by Jeremy Kasten (All Souls Day: Dia de los Muertos, The Wizard of Gore), and boasts an all-star cast featuring Jeremy Sisto (Dead and Breakfast, “Six Feet Under”), Adam Baldwin (Serenity, Independence Day), Matt Keeslar (Art School Confidential), Clare Kramer (Bring It On, “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) and such horror film favorites as Ellie Cornell (Halloween 4 & 5) and Erik Palladino (Dead and Breakfast). The Thirst also comes shrouded in a special “O-card” for that extra satisfying gulp! SRP is an anemic $19.98 with a pre-book date of April 4th.

Recovering drug addicts Max (Keeslar) and Lisa (Kramer) are having a tough time adjusting to their new lives, now that they’ve kicked their habit. However, when a series of tragic events threaten their lives, both are recruited into a clan of sex and gore-crazed vampires led by the charismatic Darius (Sisto). Now hooked on a new narcotic – human blood – Max and Lisa begin to rebel against their horrific plight, hoping that kicking this habit will keep them out of Hell!

JoBlo.com/Arrow in the Head declared The Thirst a “gore party that stands on its own two fangs admirably. It’s so filled with chunky bites, dismemberments, beheadings and blood sprays that I wanted to pick up a mop to clean the theater afterwards!”
