HUDSON ENTERTAINMENT and KONAMI SHIP HONEYCOMB BEAT TO RETAIL STORES NATIONWIDE

Energize Your Mind with Addictive Brain-Teasing Action in this New Puzzle Game for Nintendo DS™

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – March 27, 2007 – Hudson Entertainment and Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced Honeycomb Beat for the Nintendo DS™ has shipped to retail stores nationwide. An addictive puzzle game featuring intuitive pick up and play action, Honeycomb Beat lets players manipulate hexagonal Honeycombs on the game board with a unique touch screen control scheme across two mind-bending modes of play.

In Honeycomb Beat, players must use the Nintendo DS stylus to manipulate a formation of Honeycombs on the game screen. Touching Honeycombs flips them over, causing a ripple effect that changes the color of the surrounding panels. Using this simple yet addictive mechanic, players must meet certain level based objectives such clearing all Honeycombs from the game board by turning them the same color.

Honeycomb Beat features more than 200 different puzzles for players to experience as they progress through the game’s Puzzle and Evolution modes. Puzzle Mode challenges players to manipulate all the Honeycombs on the board to turn them all the same color. There is no time limit, allowing players to explore every possible solution to the puzzle and implement a variety of strategies for success. Evolution Mode speeds the game up, as waves of Honeycombs rise vertically and players must think fast to clear lines of the hexagonal panels and keep them from filling the screen. By meeting certain gameplay goals in Puzzle and Evolution modes, players will unlock bonus content such as special music tracks, visualizers and backgrounds to customize their game experience.

Honeycomb Beat is published by Hudson and distributed by Konami. The game is rated “E” for everyone by the ESRB and carries a suggested retail price of $19.99. For more information on Honeycomb Beat, please visit www.konami.com
