Burbank, CA
– Wednesday,
March 28,
2007 – Strap
yourself in
for an
incredible
ride as
Codemasters
premieres
the first
trailer for
DIRT™, now
available to
view and
download at
www.codemasters.com/dirt.
Opening with
death-defying
cliff-edge
cornering on
Pikes Peak –
one of the
breathtaking
all-new Hill
Climb events
in DiRT, the
video trails
the bump and
grind of
buggy
racing, and
also reveals
Colin
McRae’s very
own
prototype
performance
car, the R4,
in a
dramatic
crash
sequence.
Created
using
in-game
vehicle and
environmental
models, this
is just a
first taste
of the
exhilaration
DiRT
promises to
deliver when
it launches
in June for
the Xbox
360™ video
game and
entertainment
system from
Microsoft
and the PC.
The
PlayStation®3
computer
entertainment
system
edition will
follow
shortly
thereafter.
As much as
the DiRT
video teases
some of the
varied
terrain that
you’ll be
racing
through, the
full game
offers a
massive
assortment
of courses,
tracks,
surfaces and
visual
styles.
Terrain
ranges from
the narrow
mountain
roads of
Spain and
the twisting
forest roads
of UK, to
the
technical
vineyard
stages of
Germany and
the fast
flowing
turns of the
hill climb
racing in
the U.S.
DiRT also
features
full-blown
off-road
events in
Italy,
France,
Germany,
Japan and
Australia.
Looking
beyond the
DiRT
trailer, the
first
‘in-game’
footage will
premiere
tomorrow,
Thursday,
March 29,
2007, as an
exclusive
download
only
available
from Xbox
Live®
Marketplace.
Slap on your
helmet and
snap in that
five-point
harness
because DiRT
is coming!
