The Hostel From Hell

Spanish horror re-emerges with H6: Diary of a Serial Killer, in Stores August 22nd from Tartan Video

“Stunningly morbid.”

H6 goes further in the raw viciousness and unrelenting horror than Hostel or any other mainstream film could ever hope to.”
-Johnny Butane, The Horror Channel

“A Spanish version of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.”
Ryan “Rotten” Turek, Fangoria

LOS ANGELES — June 1st, 2006 — For Immediate Release — At this rate, no one’s going to travel to Europe anymore! Doing for Spanish tourism what Hostel did for Slovakia, H6: Diary of A Serial Killeris an unrelenting vision of horror from Spain’s newest auteur and the producers of Basic Instinct 2 and Sexy Beast. H6 tortures DVD shelves August 22nd in stores across the nation from Tartan Video.

Recently freed after 25 years for killing his girlfriend, Antonio Frau (Fernando Asaco) has just inherited an old brothel from a relative he never knew.  Old habits die hard and Antonio takes this as a sign from God to begin “cleansing” those who have lost the will to live. He leads his naive victims to room 6 where he purifies them through excruciating pain and blood-soaked torture, while at the same time, continuing his everyday life next to his new wife.

Bringing to mind ground-breaking horror-thrillers such as Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer and Mario Bava’s The Torturer, First-time director Martín Garrido Barón’s H6 is a balance between the journey inside the mind of a delusional psychopath and the gory end results that come from within.

Spanish, with English subtitles, H6 is presented in anamorphic widescreen, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and DTS Surround Sound 5.1.  Special DVD features to be announced, will include original theatrical trailer and trailers of Tartan Video’s upcoming releases.
