ADV ANNOUNCES JULY 24 RELEASES

HOUSTON, May 21, 2007 —ADV Films, the number one producer-distributor of anime outside of Japan, is pleased to bring you the next chapter of the title you may have trouble saying, but still love to watch! Volume four of Utawarerumono will be available to fans everywhere on July 24.

UTAWARERUMONO THE PRICE OF FREEDOM

“ADV May Have a Sleeper Hit for 2007 on Their Hands…”

– Advanced Media Network

From veteran production studio Oriental Light and Magic (Berserk, Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor) comes the tale of a man in a mask he can’t remove. With a heart-felt story and exciting action set in a far-off land, Utawarerumono will appeal to fans of Inuyasha. Make sure to get your dose of action and intrigue in what J-Ent calls, “A Riveting Must-See Series.”

Synopsis: On a strange and foreboding journey where evil attacks at every turn, Emperor Hakuoro finds that freedom comes at the expense of moral convictions. As war continues to rage across the land, Hakuoro must summon his inner demon and confront the atrocity head-on. Meanwhile, another masked stranger takes an unsolicited interest in Hakuoro – but he is too busy fending off romantic advances, trying to save face with Eluluu and searching for the truth about his past. This exciting installment of Utawarerumono has it all: bloodshed, burning, death, destruction, redemption and resurrection. Add to that a cute mythological creature, a mysterious voyage and a drunken tryst or two – and you’re in for a frenetic and fantastic adventure!

Utawarerumono: The Price of Freedom (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including episodes 15 through 18, presented in both English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles. Extras include the 15 minute video “Utawarerumono: The Story So Far…”, extended episode previews, a character art gallery, a glossary of terms, plus clean opening animation, clean closing animation and previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.
