ALCHEMY IS REAL! AS DESTINEER’S ‘FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST™: DUAL SYMPATHY’ FOR THE NINTENDO DS™ TURNS TO GOLD!

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, November 27, 2006 – If you think it is impossible for one substance to be transformed into another, think again, because Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy for the Nintendo DS™ has become gold! Publisher Destineer is pleased to announce that the first title in their new slate of Fullmetal Alchemist games has gone gold and is on track to hit store shelves on December 12.

“Fullmetal Alchemist already has a growing and loyal fan base, so we wanted to authentically capture the notable elements from the series and present them as an engaging interactive experience for the DS,” said Paul Rinde, Chief Executive Officer of Destineer. “With the game now heading into production, we are exceptionally pleased with the result and think fans of the show will be as well.”

Developed by Bandai and based on the top-rated Adult Swim anime program, Destineer’s Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy sports innovative gameplay via the use of alchemy - the ability to transform objects from one form into another. All six characters have unique and devastating alchemy attacks, which range from bolts of fire and stone spikes to monstrous cannons and gigantic fists, and can be used for offense, defense, and even puzzle-solving. By holding down the alchemy button on the Nintendo DS touch screen, players can transform their initial alchemy creation into a mega-weapon of tremendous proportions and impact.

Two modes of play: Story Mode, which follows the saga of the Elric brothers and includes cinematics and battle sequences from the TV series; and Character Mode, which allows players to assume the role of one of the six characters.

Additional exciting features of Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy include:

Ability to play as one of six characters: Edward or Alphonse Elric, Roy Mustang, Alex Louis Armstrong, Izumi or Scar; as well as acquire the special moves of the other characters;
The same voice-over cast from the popular series currently airing on [adult swim];
A host of unlock-able content, including talking character alarm clocks, character galleries, video and sound libraries, and more;
More than 10 touch screen mini-games, including “Whack-A-Homunculus” and “Fullmetal vs. Flame” all add exciting new challenges between battles.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy is rated “T” for Teen and has an expected MSRP of $29.99. More information can be found online at www.fullmetal-alchemistgame.com.
