2007'S SLEEPER HIT PUZZLE QUEST: CHALLENGE OF THE WARLORDS CASTS ITS SPELLS ON THE Wii

(D3PA), a publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software, today announced that hit videogame Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords has shipped for the Wii to retail stores across North America and is available for a suggested retail price of $29.95. Created by Infinite Interactive Pty. Ltd., Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords offers a compelling twist on conventional gaming, allowing families to spend just a few casual minutes with the game or dedicate hours of gameplay time to their puzzles-and-role-playing experience.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is a critically acclaimed videogame that artfully blends match-three puzzle gameplay with strategy, character-building elements and a persistent storyline. This combination of gameplay elements produces an appealing new videogame genre that entices casual and hardcore gamers alike, offering hours of fun-filled gameplay for the whole family. The Wii version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords includes updated features such as rebalancing of some runes, spells and other items, short recharge time limits for the most powerful spells, a re-play option for monster capture puzzles and multiplayer for up to two players. Additionally, the game integrates waggle control options with the Wii Remote.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is also available for Nintendo DS, PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, the Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and Windows PC. A mobile version is due in early 2008.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords has received numerous accolades acknowledging the excellence of the game since it first launched for handheld systems in March of 2007. Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords for Windows PC and Xbox LIVE Arcade are developed by Infinite Interactive Pty. Ltd. The Wii, PlayStation 2 system and PSP system versions are co-developed by Infinite Interactive Pty. Ltd. and Vicious Cycle Software, Inc. The DS version is co-developed by Infinite Interactive Pty.  Ltd. and 1st Playable Productions, LLC. The mobile version is co-developed by Infinite Interactive Pty. Ltd. and THQ's Universomo Ltd. mobile game development studio. The Windows PC and mobile versions are distributed by THQ Inc.'s ValuSoft division and THQ Wireless Inc., respectively. All other versions are distributed by D3Publisher of America, Inc.  Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is rated "E 10+" (Everyone 10 and older-suggestive themes) for all platforms by the ESRB.
