ENTERTAINMENT’S ANCHOR BAY NAMES KAORU MFAUME MANAGING DIRECTOR OF
MANGA ENTERTAINMENT
CHICAGO, IL -- Anchor Bay
Entertainment, an IDT Entertainment company, recently named Kaoru
Mfaume as Managing Director for Manga Entertainment. He recently
held the post of Vice President Acquisitions for the company.

Green, CEO of Anchor Bay Entertainment. “He is a true leader within
the anime world and has co-produced a number of top-selling anime
titles including ‘Street Fighter: Alpha Generations,’ ‘Dead Leaves’
and ‘Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.’ His unparalled vision
and leadership will help us develop this genre to its fullest
potential.”
Mfaume started his career at Manga UK in 1995 as a production
co-coordinator, eventually taking on the role of VP of acquisitions
for Manga and artist development for Chris Blackwell’s music label,
Palm Pictures. Mfaume moved to Japan five years ago to acquire and
produce titles and continues to reside there.
“I feel privileged to be appointed as Managing Director of Manga
Entertainment,” commented Mfaume. “Manga has always been the pioneer
of anime in the US and UK, and I intend to continue being at the
forefront of this genre. We will proactively acquire and produce
more than ever, and with the tremendous support of IDT Entertainment
and Anchor Bay, I feel confident that Manga will grow substantially
over the next few years.”
