ADV ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER 22 RELEASES

HOUSTON, October 17, 2005 —ADV Films, the number one producer-distributor of anime in North America, is pleased to announce two new titles set to hit the streets on November 22!

YUMERIA: TOSSING AND TURNING

High School Loser or Hero of Destiny?

ADV Films is pleased to announce the second volume of Yumeria, a three volume anime DVD series based on the popular Playstation 2 video game. Yumeria: Tossing and Turning, hits stores November 22.

Produced by the famed Studio Deen (Cowboy Bebop, Fruits Basket), Yumeria introduces us to Tomokazu, a pretty typical high school loser who can’t get a date. All that changes when he begins visiting an alternate world through his dreams – one in which he is transformed into a hero of destiny imbued with strange powers. But this dream world is threatened by the evil Faydooms, who have fiendish designs on the real world. Only Tomokazu can stop them, aided by five hotties from his very own high school, all of whom have undergone their own wondrous transformations!

Original Concept by NAMCO based and produced as a PS2 game.

Synopsis: Take a half-dozen scantily clad gals, a sixteen-year-old with newfound supernatural powers, and an army of unstoppable enemies… What do you have? Just another day in the life of Tomokazu Mikuri, the bumbling hero of Yumeria! It could have been a dream come true for this girl-crazy loser, but the more time he spends trying to save the world, the more it becomes a nightmare. It doesn’t help that his curvaceous crew of housemates and heroines have taken an interest in super-skimpy swimsuits! But if Tomokazu doesn’t rein in his hormones, the evil enemies will defeat mankind without a fight. On the other hand, if this disc weren’t packed with skirt-chasing, peek-taking, half-naked, bouncing, blushing mishaps, it just wouldn’t be the oh-so-revealing second volume of Yumeria!

Yumeria: Tossing and Turning (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including episodes five through eight presented in anamorphic video with both English and Japanese with English subtitles. Extras include clean opening animation, clean closing animation, and previews of upcoming ADV Films releases.

Directed by Keitaro Motonaga (Rayearth, Getbackers and Kikaider)

Over 425 Minutes of Harem Hilarity for Just $39.98!

ADV Films is proud to present the final word on “harem” comedy on November 22, when Happy Lesson: Teachers’ Pet Collection hits stores everywhere!

Happy Lesson tells the story of Chitose, a teenager who suddenly finds himself surrounded by a bevy of beauties. Directed by Akira Suzuki (Kodocha, Ranma ½: Nihao My Concubine), Happy Lesson is one of the most hilarious harem comedies of the past five years.

Synopsis: What teenage boy wouldn’t want to spend his days surrounded by a pack of beautiful women? Chitose, that’s who! He’s an orphan but isn’t alone for long, as five teachers from his high school move in to care for him with their near-psychotic maternal zeal! Now trapped in their motherly embrace, he’ll get the happiest lessons in life yet! You can join him in this hilarious collection of the sexiest teachers ever to be assigned as homework!

Happy Lesson: Teachers’ Pet Collection (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release including all 14 of the TV episodes plus the first three OVA episodes, presented in both English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 with English subtitles.
