announced
that “Spectrobes,”
the highly
anticipated
anime-inspired
action/role
playing
game, will
ship
worldwide on
March 15,
2007.
“Spectrobes”
is being
developed
exclusively
for the
Nintendo
DS(TM) by
Kyoto-based
Jupiter
Corporation,
the makers
of the
bestselling
“Kingdom
Hearts:
Chain of
Memories.”
“Spectrobes”
is the first
video game
based on
original
intellectual
property to
be created
and
published by
Buena Vista
Games. The
game will be
distributed
in Japan by
Sega, and
will be
displayed in
the Sega
booth during
the Tokyo
Game Show,
September
22–24.
The
“Spectrobes”

will feature
webisodes
designed to
give gamers
insight into
the
adventures
and
characters
of the
“Spectrobes”
world. Six
webisodes
are planned
for release
over the
next six
months,
culminating
with the
game’s
launch. The
two-minute
videos will
introduce
junior
Planetary
Patrol
officers,
Rallen and
Jeena, as
well as
reveal the
intriguing
story behind
the
fossilized
Spectrobes
and their
mysterious
powers.
